Scott Kicks - Boyka: Undisputed (2016)

I'm working backwards since it this is the fourth "Undisputed" film.  Scot must be doing something right if the series hits four episodes, right?  Well, if by right you mean Scott kicks and Scott has a... Russian accent, then sign me up!  His Russian accent is better than... his American accent?  Never mind, it's way worse.  You can tell this is a purely Eastern-bloc picture set in Russia and Ukraine.  The typefaces will jump out at you as circa 1990.  None of that will matter once the bloody punching, kicking and slow-mo starts!  Fans of shirtless, tattooed Scott will appreciate this, assuming they exist.  This is Scott at his most ripped, not that he's all wimpy in those other films.  It seems our ex-con Scott, I mean Boyka, has lost  his way pummeling through zillions of opponents until inadvertently killing a man.  Scott already used his earnings to build a church.  Hard to go much farther for redemption unless... you want forgiveness for the widow of the dude you left a corpse!  He tracks her down to Russia, but this lady owes rubles to the mob.  Mob boss is like, "Hey you just kicked the asses of my security personnel, so uh... you do some fighting for me and I'll set that lady free!"  It can't go wrong, can it?  Scott pummels his way through the opponents, gains the trust of the widow, and fights the ultimate-huge baddie.  Maybe they grow these baddies in the gulag or somethin.  Reminds me for the biggen from Kickboxer: Retaliation.  I appreciated the lack of style in this film.  Just make the ring fights look good.  They do!  This is a short, efficient film that won't compel you to search Craigslist for... stereo equipment.  This one gets an extra star since Scott not only punches and kicks, but spins like mad!  Scott Spins is a terrible blog name though- maybe even worse than Scott Kicks!  Looking forward to more Undisputed films in the future.  Oh yeah, auteur Isaac Florentine directs Scott like usual, so there ya' go.  These guys are like Scorsese and DeNiro, er... Boyka!  Boyka!
