Darn, it's good to see Scott back at full strength after a few stinkers at the home box office! This flick is set mostly in England and the Ukraine. The Ukraine represented here is now a totally different country - a war zone since the 2022 Russian invasion. It's too bad, the cities look cosmopolitan yet of old Europe.
Scott is a washed up dude with a dark history. He has an adolescent kid, and it gives him a partner to act with more than he historically needs to. She's too clever and headstrong, a gambler who clearly loves her dad. Scott does well and is always a bit more at ease when using his native accent. Scott has lied to his daughter for a long time about her mother. It works. There's a missing dossier, some dead journalists, and baddies trying to get the info, or leverage the kid against Scott so he can do the dirty work. A supporting cast helps Scott shine, allowing him to kapow and kick through the urban scenery. Legacy of Lies will hit the spot if you're up for a fun time at the movies. Scott delivers the goods.
